- Adaptive Resource Management (Jim Devries, IWWR, Ducks Unlimited)
- Endangered Species Legislation
- The Manitoba Chapter’s Role in Environmental Advocacy
- Central Mountains and Plains Section Annual Meeting Planning Session
Saturday afternoon (2:30):‘Great Perch Search’. Journey with us out onto frozen Lake Manitoba. Don’t have a fishing license? Don’t worry! The Delta Field Station has a group fishing license that will permit all Getaway Weekend attendees to fish (valid Saturday afternoon only). Or, bring your skis and snowshoes along and explore the marsh and beach ridge.
Saturday evening (8:00):Join Rick Riewe and Jill Oakes for a slide show and talk on the wildlife of Siberia. Followed by a winter beach bonfire and midnight fish fry.
We encourage all attendees to come for the entire weekend. Cost is $35.00 for students and $60.00 for professionals. Included in the package is your 1999 TWS Manitoba Chapter membership (a $10.00 value), 2 nights accommodation, three meals on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, and snacks Friday and Saturday night.
If you can attend Saturday only the cost is $25.00 for both students and professionals. Included is your 1999 TWS Manitoba Chapter membership and all Saturday meals (breakfast is at 7:30 Saturday morning).
